LFLG - Part 4

Loving God with Your Mind: Turning Thoughts into a Stronghold
Over the past three weeks, we’ve learned to love God with our affection (heart), our surrender (soul), and our exertion (strength). This week, we explore the intellectual devotion required to love Him with our minds.
In an age of "cultural noise" and endless entertainment, a renewed mind is our greatest protection. It sharpens our discernment and prevents us from wandering aimlessly. To love God with the mind is to refuse shallow thinking and instead pursue the depths of His truth with diligence and joy.

Follow-Up Exercises & Practical Steps:
- The 3-Step Filter: When a negative or doubtful thought arises, use the filter: Identify ("Is this true?"), Challenge ("What does Scripture say?"), and Replace ("Declare Christ’s authority").
- Purchase a Study Bible: If you only have a standard Bible, upgrade to a Study Bible (NIV, ESV, or Life Application) to explore maps, cross-references, and introductions.
- Join a Class: Jump into one of our community groups, such as the Men’s study on Ecclesiastes or the Women’s study on Habakkuk.
- Adopt a Reading Plan: Commit to a digital or hard-copy plan that keeps you consistently in the Word.
- Morning Renewal: Read one verse aloud each morning, pray it over your day, and journal a single sentence of application.
